Rotary Toronto West held their golf tournament On September 15th at the beautiful and challenging Caledon Country Club. It was a GREAT DAY!

We couldn’t have asked for better weather – sunshine, blue skies and a very comfortable temperature.  Twenty-two golfers attended all with varying skills levels from expert to duffer (me).  The goal of the day was for all members and friends to have a good time and experience great fellowship.  By the smiles and the good humoured remarks that bounced back and forth after the game; I would say this goal was certainly achieved.

After a delicious luncheon we proceeded to the awards ceremony.  Congratulations to the two top foursomes who came in with a tie score of 71 each.  Retrogression was the method used to tie-break.   Much humour was displayed in trying to figure out the meaning of “retrogression”, we finally got it and proceeded to handing out the balance of the awards.

Competition is fun, but the greatest experience of the day is the spirit of good friendship among our members who are all dedicated to the aim of Rotary’s motto “Service above Self”.

Hope to see you there next year!  Bring your friends and family members, all are welcome.
